Strong, William
(6 may. 1808, Somers, Conn., EE.UU.–19 ago. 1895, Lake Minnewaska, N.Y.).

Jurista estadounidense. Se desempeñó en la Cámara de Representantes (1847–51) y en la corte suprema del estado de Pensilvania (1857–68). En 1870 Ulysses S. Grant lo nombró en la Corte Suprema de los Estados Unidos de América. En 1871 habló en nombre de la mayoría cuando la corte revocó el fallo Hepburn del año anterior, revocación que dio al congreso la facultad de emitir papel moneda como moneda de curso legal, postura que Grant apoyaba. Strong se retiró de la corte en 1880.
